Where Education Meets Empowerment Building a Community Where Teachers Thrive and Parents Connect

After thirty years in education, I've seen firsthand the powerful impact when teachers feel supported and parents are engaged. Today, I'm excited to introduce you to an initiative born from this understanding - the Spurka Ed Institute.

What is our mission?
At the Spurka Ed Institute, we are dedicated to empowering you—both teachers and parents, with the tools, resources, and support needed to grow the next generation of community and global leaders. Whether you're a parent looking for practical strategies to support your teen's success or an educator seeking to reignite your passion for teaching, we deliver actionable insights that inspire, motivate, and empower.
What is the reason for its launch?
Throughout my career, I've worked with thousands of teachers and have remained determined to help them overcome obstacles and sustain their love for teaching. This commitment stems from a simple belief: when teachers reclaim their joy for teaching, their students develop a love for learning.
The Spurka Ed Institute exists to transform the educational experience by creating environments where both educators and students can excel. As an educator and a parent of two, I recognize the crucial partnership between schools and families. When trust and collaboration exist between teachers and parents, positive school cultures emerge, greater teacher satisfaction, and significant improvements in student outcomes.
What we do at the Spurka Ed Institute
Drawing from my experience as a teacher, counselor, and award-winning principal, I provide practical strategies through books, speaking engagements, and professional development opportunities. Our work focuses on helping educators rediscover their passion while equipping parents with practical approaches to guide their teens toward success.
The old African proverb states, "It takes a village to raise a child." This wisdom remains as relevant today as ever. Parents and teachers cannot do it alone—we must work together to create the supportive community our children deserve.
I invite you to join our community at the Spurka Ed Institute. Subscribe to our newsletter for regular insights, explore our resources for immediate implementation, or reach out to learn about bringing our professional development to your school. Together, we can ensure that joy remains at the heart of teaching and learning.
With joy in education,
